Thank you in red and lime green

I made this card for this week's challenge #79 over at The Play Date Cafe. The colors for this week's challenge are red, lime green and grey and at first I thought, What? I can't use these colors. I love the color challenges because they get your mind spinning and it's amazing what you come up with. And, here's what I was inspired to do: I like it, hope you do too :)

A little break....

So, I'm taking a little break. Just wanted to let you know I'm here, just so busy with work and getting the house ready for summer haven't had the time to post to my blog. I did take the "Box of Blossoms" class at my local Archiver's last week-end and just love the results. Have noticed hand-made flowers for some time and have finally learned how to make a few. Stay tuned, please, flower cards coming soon.

Lucille :)

Oh, the places you'll go...

I have admired Mo Manning's digital and rubber stamps for some time and surprise I was in Archiver's the other day and they had some of Mo's stamps. The stamps were packaged by Stamping Bella (another stamp company who's stamps I love, have a few of these too). When I saw this cute little girl stamp and sentiment I had to have them. And, of course a new stamp I have to make a new card, so I chose the inspiration card from the Case Study challenge blog, here's the inspiration card: and here's my card: Oh, the places I'll go.....
Items used: Mo Manning Bye bye girl stamps, gems, twine, Cosmo Cricket DP, punch, watercolor pencils.

Therese's Shower

My friend Therese is marrying Paul next month. We are all going to Lake Tahoe for the wedding; they are getting married on the beach. We are so happy for our friends and I'm looking forward to their wedding and my first visit to Lake Tahoe. Four of us hosted a bridal shower for Therese last week (Debbie, Nancy, Suzanne and I) and I made the invitations and thank you cards for Therese. Here they are:

BFF

How about the challenge this week at The Play Date Cafe? The colors are bright blue, sky blue and bright green. At first I thought, flowers, definitely flowers, but I didn't listen to myself and used my new girlfriends stamps instead. I love the art of Mo Manning and this new MM stamp of mine is currently my favorite, so here's what I came up with using these colors: The sentiment is so true and I do love my close friends. Items used: Mo Manning Bbbfff stamps, ribbon, watercolor pencils, gems, pearls.
