Best Friends

The City Crafter Challenge blog is new to me, although this is challenge 71, so not so new to others. The challenge theme this week is friends and this sweet stamp by Mo Manning fit the bill perfectly. Enjoy!! Items used: Mo Manning stamps, twine, button, DPs, ribbon and watercolor pencils.

Happy Birthday with a BIG flower

Oh, I just love the colors for this week's challenge at the Play Date Cafe aren't they beautiful: mint, ivory and coral!
I bought this Hero Arts large flower cling stamp at Archiver's 40% off sale and this is the first card I have made with it, isn't it a pretty stamp :)
Items used: Hero Arts stamps, ribbon, pearls, watercolor pencils, button, Bo Bunny DP.

Sweet Days of Summer

The sweet days of summer is the challenge this week at The Shabby Tea Room. This challenge asks that we use the colors pink, peach, green and neutral and also a handmade flower on our card. Peach and pink go so well together and I had this pretty DP from Graphics 45 to dress up my card.
I found this pretty My Mind's Eye crochet trim the other day at Archiver's and I'm so happy I took some home with me. The little felt flower is from Pebbles, a little jute twine bow and a card is born. Enjoy!

CR84FN Color Challenge 36

I do love color challenges, they get my imagination going in directions it doesn't always go. I'm a green, blue and brown girl, seem to gravitate towards these 3 colors over and over again. This week's color challenge at CR84FN is yellow, kraft and neutral. The kraft paper is close to my brown comfort zone and I am very happy with the result here: Items used: SU brads and stamps, ribbon and DP. 4 items and a card is born :)

PDCC 94 - Fudge, Goldenrod and Teal

The Play Date Cafe color challenge this week is fudge, goldenrod and teal. These 3 colors go together so well and the free digital collage sheet I recently downloaded from Spark your imagination had images that were just so perfect for this challenge, what do you think?
I am going to send this card to our friend, Kevin. He's had a rough go of it lately with some health issues and he is "A great friend". Items used: Spark your imagination collage sheet, Hero Arts stamp, twine, DP, brads.

Soft Blue and green

I took inspiration for this card from last week's Shabby Tea Room challenge. Although I missed the challenge deadline, I wanted to put this card on my blog because I like it so much. Soft blues and greens, blue and green, my favorite 2 colors. I recently purchased this bubbles punch and I just love it. Hope you enjoy this card: Items used: DP, Hero Arts butterfly stamp, pearls, twin, punch, crimper.

Making a scene....

The August challenge at Hero Arts is three-fold: Creatures and Cards for Kids and the technique, Making a Scene. I have been absent from the Hero Arts challenges for some time, but I'm back and I love this month's challenges. My first 2 cards use the technique portion of the challenge and here are my little scenes:

I have enjoyed banner cards and this is my first. I think I'm hooked, I'm sure more banner cards will follow. And, this little HA deer has been among my favorite stamps for some time, no matter when I stamp him, I'm happy with the result.

Items used on both cards: Hero Arts stamps, DP, twine, flower gems, and watercolor pencils.
