Just for the Pun of it :)

I love puns and limericks. As a matter of fact each St. Patty's Day I put together a limerick for my husband....check back around March 17th for the limerick. Anyway, this week's challenge at Casual Friday's is to use a pun. I immediately thought of these fun stamps I have from Purple Onion Designs. There are quite a few puns and other fun stamps there, check it out. Here's my card for the challenge, used Stella Rose design papers for the background.

Don't Scrap It - Less is More

I save scraps, pieces of cardstock, pieces of ribbon, you name it I save it. Well, this week's challenge at Less is More is to use those scraps. The butterflies on this card have been in my scrap basket for so long I don't remember why I made them and it must have been something because when I went through my basket I had 7 of them. The blue flower strip was in there too, a fairly new stamp from Hero Arts, made a number of cards using flower strips in all different colors, apparently didn't use this one :) Here's my card, only un-scrappy thing is the Happy Birthday sentiment, stamped that today.

o.k. Spring can arrive now...

We've had some cold, snowy days here recently. Today the sun is shining brightly, the birds are singing and all is well in the world. Flowers are the only thing missing here in the foothills, so a flower card it is. The challenge over at Case Study is to make a 3D project, my pretty flower is popping off the page, 3D it is:

Orange Columbines?

Simple Pleasure, my LSS in Colorado Springs, had 2 wonderful stamps and die cuts made especially for sale at their store by Dave at Memory Box, you can see them HERE. I just love them and have all sorts of ideas floating around my head; cards here I come :) Columbines are Colorado's state flower and they are so beautiful, I have only seen purple and white columbines, but chose to make orange columbines for this week's challenge at the Play Date Cafe. Here is the inspiration photo: and here's my card:

Lavender, such a pretty color....

Earlier this week I found this beautiful vintage image on Karen's blog The Graphics Fairy. If you love vintage images you must visit this blog. The challenge over at CR84FN this week is the use the colors chartreuse, gray and lavender; I immediately thought of this pretty graphic to use with the colors, here she is: Items used: Graphics Fairy digi, ribbon, gems, watercolor pencils and Memory Box Viola papers and Dogwood branch stamp.

Wrapping Paper Card

For Valentine's day Mike gave me a present wrapped in this beautiful paper. I loved the present and the wrapping paper and saw a card the minute I laid eyes upon this lovely paper, here it is: I then added some ribbon, a rose and a little stickles. Isn't it beautiful, would make a nice wedding card. I'm going to enter this card in the challenge over at Our Creative Corner; black, white and a splash of color. Perfect :)

New stamping stuff

Took a visit to my LSS yesterday and added many new items to my stamping collection. Memory Box dies are on a roll, so many new dies and of course I want every one of them. Bought a few, will have some cards posted later this week. I added 2 new stamps, this Memory Box dogwood branch stamp and this nice, little thanks stamp. I paired the 2 up for the challenge over at the Play Date Cafe this week. Here's the inspiration photo: and here's my card: I die cut the little flowers with a new MB die cut (just love this one)and added a few gems ;)

The Jazz Singer

A movie theme is the challenge this week at Casual Fridays. the challenge is to make a card inspired by a movie. I chose the movie "The Jazz Singer" with Neil Diamond. I think the story is somewhat about Neil Diamond's life. I chose this cute image by Mo Manning for my card. This is without a doubt my favorite MM digi stamp, I just love Bella and Bronte, and both of them "jamming" is too adorable. Here you go: Items used: Mo Manning digi stamp, ribbon, button, Hero Arts sentiment stamp and diamond glaze.

Cup of Love

I'm entering this card into 2 challenges this week, the first is the Valentine challenge over at Tiddly Inks; this digi stamp is a Tiddly Inks stamp. I'm also entering this card to the challenge over at the Play Date Cafe. The challenge is to create a card using the pretty colors in this photo:

Some time ago I added this pretty tea cup of hearts to my stamp collection and when I saw the challenge I knew this was the digi stamp I was going to use. Here's my card:
I colored the digi stamp with watercolor pencils, added pearls, lace, glaze, a Hero Arts sentiment stamp, some DP and done :)
