Seashells - Photo Inspiration JUGs

I grew up by the ocean and although I've lived in the moutains for years, I have a special place in my heart and mind for the vast expanse, scent and sounds of the ocean.  The inpiration photo at Just Us Girls challenge blog this week has a seashell and the photo not only inspired me but brought the wonderful Atlantic ocean to my mind :)  Here's the inspiration photo:

One of the Hero Arts stamp sets I have, Antique Engravings, has the prettiest vintage style seashells and I used them to make my card for this week's challenge:

Antique Linen stickles are used to make the sand, tumbled glass stickles on the shells and gold stickles on the dragonflies (can you tell I love stickles :)?

Hello in Pink and brown

I've discovered a challenge blog that's new to me, Papercraft Star ! I'm always so happy to find another challenge to get my Mojo going.  Just take a look at the inspiration photo for the challenge this week.  Where oh where is this wonderful pink pay phone, I love it:

Isn't it all that and a bag of chips?  I have to say it again, I love this pink phone :)  Hello is the title of the challenge and I was inspired to create this little number:

Can't wait to see what next week's challenge is, whatever it is I'll be there!

All that Glitters

For a long, long time I was very Glitter challenged.  I would get the shinny, sparkly, pretty colors everywhere and I mean everywhere - the dogs, the cat, my husband, me, the floor - well, you get the picture :)  Then I discovered Stickles, yeah, I was back in the glitter game!

This week's challenge at the City Crafter Challenge Blog is "All that Glitters", so I put my Memory Box Ballerina die to my Cuttlebug and "sparkled" her up a bit:

The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set that I use quite often.

Beyond Grey Challenge - Oodles of Doodles

Hi there, the new challenge at Beyond Grey Challenges is "Oodles of Doodles".  Now for some this might be an easy challenge, but for me it was just that "a challenge".  I actually doodle quite a bit, but when I had to come up with something for the challenge my mind went blank.  I must have done 5 doodles before I was finally happy with the drawing on this card:

Please head on over to BGC and join us in this week's challenge, we love to see your work.

Just for you my Friend

This week at the City Crafter Challenge Blog the inspiration is "Just for you my Friend".  Now don't get me wrong I love my "people" friends and of course my wonderful husband, but when it comes to a best friend there is no one like your dog(s).  Any of you who have animals know what I'm talking about.  With that said, here's my card for the challenge:

When you were a kid and you had a dog, didn't you just squeeze him/her because you loved your doggy so much?  I came across this photo of me and Skippy and it reminded me so much of this wonderful Mo Manning stamp I thought I would share it here.  DOGS RULE!!
