Hello sweet friend....

The main image on my card "Patsy" is from Whipper Snapper stamps, the images are so sweet, check them out HERE.  I'm submitting my card to 3 challenges this week, here she is:

The raindrop paper is Simon Says, sentiment is Stampin" Up.  I put Glossy Accents on the umbrella and raincoat, a little hard to see in the photo.

The 3 challenges Patsy is being submitted to are:

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge
Poppy Sketches
Freshly Made Sketches
Thanks so much for stopping by on this beautiful Sunday in the Rockies :)

A new Puppy

Yesterday I adopted a Puppy, we have named her Gracy.  She is the sweetest thing on 4 legs.  I found her on the website for 4 Paws 4 Life, a wonderful organization, check them out if you're in Colorado and looking for a new doggy to add to your family.  Without further ado, here she is:

Check out her Crazy ears, I just love them, hahahaha ;)

Gracy and Angus have become friends already, she follows him around and they tussle with each other.  Now keep in mind Gracy weighs 18.9 lbs and Angus weighs 84 lbs.  So far she's holding her own with him, that big Ga-lute :)  Speaking of Angus, here's a new photo of him (our handsome boy).

Thanks for stopping by today.  Home is where my Dogs are!

Summer and Sail Boats

There is a nautical theme challenge this week over at The Card Concept and nautical means ocean and boats and swimming to me.  I used this little sail boat stamp from Lockhart for my card:

I don't make too many square cards, but this circle background stamp looks nicer on a round or square card as opposed to a rectangular card.  The little whale clip is from Stampin' Up and the sentiment stamps is from Memory Box.
Thanks for taking a peek at my blog today.
Hope you're enjoying the weather in your neck of the woods :)

Smooch xoxo

Tomorrow is our 30th anniversary.  I tell you, it's mind-boggling to think 30 years ago Mike and I said "I do" and we "still do" :).

Anyway, I made Mike an anniversary card - Of course I did - and I used this week's sketch from the challenge at Seize the Sketch.  Here's my card for that wonderful man of mine:

and here's the sketch:

The cute stamp on my card is from Whipper Snapper and the Smooch sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.

Thanks for stopping by today, smooch!

My Father

I think of my father often, his name was Ceasar Rizzo, or Lefty as many of his friends called him. He was a wonderful man and the best father anyone could ask for. He worked the night shift so we were lucky to have him around during the day.  Every Summer he would plant a big garden with tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, herbs and a few other vegetables.  He loved my Mother, my brother and I with all his heart and we loved him.  He lived a good, healthy long life.

Virginia's View #4

The challenge over at Virginia's View is to create tags and / or scrap-lings using recycled items.  I have a whole basket full of stamped and die cut pieces from cards I've made.

I pulled out this digital graphic of a City Scap for my tag:

The clouds and the black & white polka dot strip are also little recycled pieces.   I enjoyed making this little tag and hope I can find the time to make another tag and maybe a few scrap-lings.

Thanks so much for stopping by, now head over to Virginia's View to check out all the fabulous tags and scrap-lings over there :)
