Dreamy Cat

Christmas is almost here, it's always hard to believe another year has gone by.  The challenge over at Inkspirational Challenges this week is "Anything but Christmas".  Well, I guess it is time to move on and make cards and projects of another sort, isn't it?

I recently purchased this stamp set from Newton's Nook, isn't this little cat cute?  When I saw this week's challenge I knew immediately I would enter a card made with this set, and here it is :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Delicate Butterfly

The City Crafter challenge blog is hosting a color challenge this week; the colors are: blue, white, grey and a touch of silver.  I originally thought of making a Christmas card for the challenge, however I saw a pretty card at a craft show that inspired me to create this card for the challenge.

Here is the pretty inspiration picture from City Crafter:

Love this picture board, so pretty.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Give Thanks...

Next week we will celebrate Thanksgiving, a time to reflect on all things we have to be thankful for.  This week's challenge at AAA Cards is "Thanks / Thanksgiving", perfect challenge for this time of year.

I love Autumn, the scent in the air, the colorful leaves on the trees, the crisp, cool air; I could go on and on. Of course, most people make turkey for Thanksgiving (myself included) and the photo given for the challenge is a turkey (funny looking birds that they are):

Anyway, I'm thankful you stopped by today.  Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours :)

Sworly Birthday...

The Fusion Card Challenge this week included a sketch I like to call "Swirly".  So I used the sketch to create this Birthday card.  There have been quite a few "swirly" sketch cards out in blog-land and all of them are so pretty.  Check out the Fusion blog to see an assortment of lovely cards using this sketch.

Thanks for stopping by today.
The snow has finally stopped, looks like we'll be able to get out :)

So Pretty....

I made this pretty card for the challenge at Casology this week which just happens to be the word: Pretty.  This image is from A day for daisies; wonderful digital images.

Although I some times have trouble with "clean & simple" card making, this image is so pretty I thought I would give it a try.  And, although it's Autumn - a girl always looks so feminine in pink - don't you think :)

So happy you stopped by today :)

Purple and Poppies

This week's challenge at the Fusion Card Challenge is Purple and Poppies.  I was happy to see this challenge as I recently purchased this pretty Penny Black poppy stamp.  I always love red and turquoise together and thought why not add a purple background, Viola!! Love it :)

Here are the sketch and photo from the Fusion blog:

I chose to go with the picture this time.

Glad you stopped by today to view my card :)

Sweet Little Fox

Glowing Poppy

While at the craft store I saw a very pretty card using this Penny Black poppy stamp (well, one poppy from the stamp).  So I came home and made my version of the pretty card.

I am going to enter this card into Inkspirational Challenges as the word prompt is "Glow".  The sparkle outline on the poppy and buds are glowing, don't you think?

Glad you stopped by today, I know you can find something to glow about, I did :)

Girls just wanna have fun....

A little while ago a fellow stamper, Debi, sent me a set with some great girlfriend sayings and this Fun phrase was one of the stamps in the set.

The current challenge at AAA Cards is word play, so I am playing with the words on my card and having a lot of fun with this challenge.

So happy you're visiting my blog today, it's raining and the Autumn chill is in the air :)

Wonderful blue birds

I took inspiration for this card from this week's sketch at Case This Sketch.  I took some creative license with the sketch and moved the sentiment closer to the bottom of the card.

Lately sequence are my favorite embellishments.  I've added all colors of sequence and mini beads to my craft stash and just can't seem to get enough of these little blingy pieces of perfection.

Here's the Sketch:

Glad you stopped by today.  A chill is in the air, Autumn is making it's presence known :)

MFT Summer School....

I made this card for Lesson 6 at My Favorite Things Summer School, session 2.  The first lesson is Color Theory: Gallon/Quart/Pint, you can check it out HERE.

From the MFT blog: "The first color lesson centers around the concept of using the theory of Gallon/Quart/Pint. A tricolor scheme can make most any card work when applying a main color, a little less of another color, and a dose of a final third color."

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Balloon and Stars

Just received my order from My Favorite Things and I put together this little card with some of the stamps and dies in the package.

So glad you stopped by today.  Hope you can enjoy a starry sky tonight :)

Yellow is the Color!

I made this card for the challenge over at the City Crafter challenge blog.  We are to have the main focus of our card the color Yellow.  This little hoppy poppy image is so darn cute and I thought she would look great on a lemon frosted cake, and she does don't ya think?

Here is the photo image from City Crafter and it is yellow; so pretty too:

Happy you stopped by today.  We're having lots of sunshine in Sedalia today :)
