Birthday Cupcakes

I used "cupcake thief" by Mo Manning for my card today.  I've had this stamp for some time and love making birthday cards with it.  I am entering this card into the challenge at Seize the Birthday;  the topping option this week is Something Sweet.  I ask you, what could be sweeter than 3 cupcakes :)

Thanks for stopping by today.  A cupcake sounds good, may have to make some :)

Time to sparkle and shine

Freshly elegant is the challenge at The Card Concept this week.  I took inspiration for my card from the photograph given as inspiration.

Received the "graceful faerie" by Poppy Stamps in the mail yesterday (along with a few additional fairies) and placed her on this card with Stickles on her wings.  The flower die is from Memory Box and I cut this with MFT gold paper.

Here is the inspiration photo:

So happy you stopped by today; lovely Spring day today :)

Flowers for your Birthday

Took a trip to my local stamp store today and bought a number of items I just couldn't live another day without :)  The flowers on this card are from Spellbinders, sentiment from Papermania and he squiggle border from Taylored Expressions.  I colored the flowers with my Zig marker, just love these markers.

I am entering my card into 2 challenges this week:

Casology - Loud
Case This Sketch - see the sketch below

Muse Challenge #217

I made this cute, little box card for this week's challenge at the Muse Card Club.  This is my first attempt at making a box card and I'm happy with the result.  I found a YouTube video by Sandi McIver showing how to make a rectangle pop up box using 8 1/2 X 11 paper, wrote down the instructions and Viola!! a card was born :)

Here's the adorable Muse card by Kim Heggins:

I know I will be making many more of these boxes, they are all that and a bag of chips :)

Thanks for stopping by today, it's a good day to be Happy!

Freshly Made Sketches #289

When I look at the pretty woman dancing outside it makes me happy; I love this set from Stampin' Up. I put Zig makers to paper, daubed green and blue ink for the grass and sky and added little flowers for my card that I'm submitting to Freshly Made Sketches for this week's challenge.

Here's the sketch:

Henna Elements - turquoise, lime and navy

There is a color challenge this week at Just Us Girls; the colors are turquoise, lime and navy.  Although the card base looks black in this photo, it is navy.  As I didn't have lime green ink I used wild wasabi ink for the little leaves.  The large flowers are turquoise and the small flowers are navy.  The stamp set is Henna Elements by Altenew.

Glad you stopped by today and a beautiful Spring day it is :)

Fusion - Navy Patterns

This card was made focusing on the sketch  at Fusion Card Challenge and also using navy as the prominent color.  The rose paper is from My Favorite things and I just love it.  The paper comes in bright and pastel colors; the blue goes so well with yellow, don't you think?

Here is the inspiration photo from Fusion:

A Bit of Sparkle

The Wednesday challenge at Simon Says is "a bit of sparkle".  Although hard to see, the flower on my card has quite a bit of Stickles "sparkle" on it.  I've had this Technique Tuesday flower stamp for some time now and I never get tired of stamping a pretty card with it.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Flower Challenge - Case a DT Member

This month the Flower Challenge is to Case a DT member's card.  The DT creates such beautiful cards it's a challenge in itself to pick one to case.  I chose to case the pretty card below by Aileen:

Glad you stopped by today.  We have snow on the ground, last one for Spring?

Handy Man Birthday

I haven't made a card for a guy in a long time.  When I saw this week's card by Tracey McNeely at the Muse Card Club I remembered I had these cute, little tool dies from Memory Box and set to work making my card for the challenge.

Here's Tracey's card:

Thanks for stopping by today.  A rainy & chilly day today :)

Muse Challenge #214

This week's challenge at the Muse Card Club is the card below by Anita Bowden.  I took inspiration from Anita's card from the circular stencil design, the colors and the die cut word.  As I don't have too many stencils and haven't mastered using them yet, I used "daydream medallion" stamps from Stampin' Up.

Here's Anita's card:

So happy you stopped by today and a beautiful Spring day it is :)

AAA Cards - Bright & Beautiful & DT Call

The current challenge at AAA Cards is Bright & Beautiful and a call for new design team members.  Springtime is in the air and I chose to make a colorful flower card.  Sad to say, I bought 2 large pots of bright pink geraniums and they were left out in the snow.  I cut all the destroyed flowers and leaves off this morning; the plants are so full I believe they will survive and produce more beautiful flowers (finger's crossed).

On to the challenge, below is the photo we were given for inspiration:

I'm going to submit for a place on the design team too. as I think I have the CAS card thing down now and I like this challenge very much.

Glad you stopped by today, happy Springtime to you :)
