Fly....spread your wings

The challenge at Casology this week is the word FLY.  Butterflies are so unique and pretty, they come in so many shapes and colors and as an added bonus they FLY around flowers.  I chose to put pretty Laurel Burch / Stampendous butterflies on my card because they spark my "color" imagination.  I then added a stencil of dots as my background and a few "flying" words :)

So happy you stopped by today.
Hope you're able to see a butterfly today :)

Muse Challenge #222

Made this card for the challenge at the Muse Card Club this week.  Kim Heggins provided the Muse card for inspiration (see below).

I took inspiration for my card from:
  • the cute scene
  • the little bees buzzing around the flowers
  • and the sparkle from the sequins
  • the half circle frame

Here's Kim's card:

Happy you stopped by today, make it fun :)

Life is better with friends

The challenge this week at Less Is More is a sketch challenge and sketch challenges are my favorite, so I jumped right in.  The pretty rose paper and sentiment on my card are from My Favorite Things.

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
I Love to Stamp
Hope you do too

So happy you stopped by today!

Muse Challenge #221

This card was made for challenge #221 at the Muse Card Club.  I used a piece of colorful patterned paper for my background and the Hello background die from Poppy Stamps.  It took me some time to remove all the letters from the die cut and paste them into place on the paper; I'm happy with the result.

Inspiration I took from the Muse card came from the multiple "thank you" in different fonts and the colors on Jenni's card.  Jenni Murray made the Muse inspiration card below:

Glad you stopped by today and it's a cold one on the front range today :)

and
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Use patterned paper

Did Someone Say Watermelon?

Summertime says watermelon to me, just love watermelon, always have.  When I saw this week's sketch at Cas(E) this Sketch I knew exactly the card I wanted to make!

Here's the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Birthday Flowers

This week's challenge at Seize The Birthday is "Anything Goes".  I have been trying to create pretty watercolor backgrounds lately and was so happy with this one I decided to use it on my card for the challenge.  I added the "honey blossom sprig" die from Memory Box and some sparkle and a sentiment to finish my card.  Oh yes, the sparkly ribbon; one can never have too much sparkle :)

So happy you stopped by today, now go get your sparkle on xoxox

Camp Create Day 3 - Spectacular Shakers

Camp Create Day 3 at the My Favorite Things blog is Spectacular Shakers.  I haven't made a shaker card is some time and after watching the video on shaker cards I learned a better way to make one, thanks so much MFT stamps.  The Gnome set from MFT is one of my favorite stamp sets, I just love the little Gnomes.  I put both tiny flower sequins and larger clear sequins in the shaker for dimension.
What a hot day today, 99 degrees, set a record on the front Range.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Camp Create Day 2 - Remarkable Resist

Camp Create, Day 2 at My Favorite Things blog is Remarkable Resist.  As I have not done this technique before, the video was a great help.  I used a music background stamp and flower dies and sentiment from My Favorite Things.
Thanks for stopping by today :)

Camp Create, Day 1 - Wonderful Watercolors

This card was inspired by Camp Create, Day 1 - Wonderful Watercolors at the My Favorite Things stamp blog.  I enjoyed the video by Stephanie and was surprised when I used a designed paper towel to splotch my watercolor background and the design appeared.

So happy you stopped by :)

I just love these crazy dogs, they are so darn cute.  I made this card for the Muse Card Club challenge this week. I'm going to give this card to my husband for our 33rd wedding anniversary next Tuesday, I know he'll get a kick out of it.

Below is the Muse card by Tracey McNeely.  I took inspiration from:  Colors - light blue and yellow and Father's day - our dogs are our children.

Simon Says - Anything Goes

O.K., so if you know me you know I love dogs, always have.  We have 2 wonderful dogs and a mischievous cat (see my side bar).  I finally added these Tim Holz crazy dogs to my stamp collection and couldn't be happier.

I made this card for the Simon Says Wednesday challenge this week which is "anything goes".

So happy you stopped by today.

I better go before Boo, my cat, walks across the keyboard again :)

Muse Challenge #218

We are celebrating Ardyth's 50th birthday this week at the Muse Card Club.  The challenge is to "mask" one of Ardyth's many beautiful cards.  I chose to mask the lovely card below made by Ardyth:
